@bjorndv what version are you on? I am curious because I’m working through some fdbbackup issues myself, in particular using expire with the S3 storage on 6.0.16. Fdbbackup expire with blobstore returning error, not deleting from S3.
I have successfully restored some S3 several times, I ran a restore last night. It took approx. 7hrs but the cluster is healthy.
