DR Agent Role in Secondary Region

Cross Region Replication video - mentioned that the DR agent acts as an external agent in the secondary region and is responsible for applying change logs in secondary database. Are these change log files the same as mentioned in backup.md and backup-dataformat.md: range files and mutation files ?

Secondly, if I am not mistaken, then the secondary fdb database ( in destination cluster in disaster recovery) would treat the dr agent as any other client ?

DR agent doesn’t write out files. It just read data from the primary database, keep it in memory, and then written out to the secondary database. The log files are referring to the files that backup agents upload to blob storage.

Yes, DR agents are clients of the secondary fdb.
