FDB 7.1 vs 71.2

Github releases show a huge version jump (7 → 71):
FoundationDB “7.1” and Snowflake “71.2”
What is the difference?

As the name indicates, both are 7.1 versions that were cut around the same time. 7.1 is Apple’s cut, and Snowflake 71.2 is Snowflake’s cut. The versions are named differently to avoid confusions for reference the exact releases.

Code-wise, Snowflake 71.* took out the version vector code. Otherwise, both are using roughly the same code base.
