FoundationDB Summit deadline for speaking proposals EXTENDED to Friday, September 28

Hi all, we’ve extended the deadline to submit talks FoundationDB Summit (our community conference) to Friday, September 28!

More details re: the CFP are on the FDB website: https://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/foundationdbsummit2018/cfp/

We welcome proposals from existing and new community members, of varying backgrounds and experience with FoundationDB and public speaking. All speaker registration will be covered, and we can also provide travel and lodging for accepted speakers.

Two additional things I’d like to highlight about the CFP:

  • FoundationDB has only been open source for 4 months, and when we saying we welcome “varying backgrounds and experience” we really mean it! No talk or idea is too small. Built something cool with FDB that you’d like to demo? Submit it at a talk? Been working with FDB but haven’t quite hit production? That’s OK. We’d love to hear about your journey.

  • The program committee is happy to provide feedback on speaking proposals that you may be considering but have not yet submitted. Reach out to foundationdbsummit@cncf.io for feedback, or to schedule some time for a brief video chat.

Bumping this thread for another reminder: the CFP closes this Friday, September 28 at 11:59PM PT.

Remember to submit a talk before then.

Howdy! Another reminder that there’s still time to submit a talk to FoundationDB Summit, our community conference.
