If someone were to build a MySQL layer on top of FoundationDB, in that case what would be the main value difference between FoundationDB+MySQL layer vs. Amazon Aurora?

A MySQL-compatible layer for FDB would create something quite similar to what TiDB is today. On a chinese forum, there was a similar question asked, and the translated answers there would likely be relevant.
