Quoting from the official upgrade instruction

Remove old client library versions

You can now remove old client library versions from your clients. This is only to stop creating unnecessary connections.

How to remove old client library binary? I am using Centos 7.

How did you install the previous client library?

This would likely be removing the file corresponding to the versioned libfdb_c.so that you placed into $FDB_NETWORK_OPTION_EXTERNAL_CLIENT_DIRECTORY. If you installed the client via an rpm, then I believe installing a new version of that package will implicitly uninstall the old one.
