Community in website header

How about adding a link to the community to header and footer (on FoundationDB.org)?

Good suggestion. By community do you mean the forums, or another page?

Let’s see—

  1. Header and Footer become Documentation, Community, Contribute, Install.

  2. On mobile, the header is added below the logo (now missing).

  3. The Community page includes links to code of conduct, blog, forums, talks (e.g., @wwilson’s simulation classic), noteworthy community posts (e.g., the HN thread of the announcement? (where Will deservedly takes the spotlight once again)), the conference, etc.

  4. And with regard to the conference, how about mentioning it on the home page (in a way that fits within the current style)?

Great suggestions! I’ve added a link to the forums from the top-level navigation.

We ended up running a site banner to promote FDB Summit and that now links to videos from the conference. I’d like to see us develop a larger community section on the site, but for now this minor change should improve discoverability of the forums.
