I am using continuous backup to backup the database. One question I have is, say, I pause the backup and make a copy of what I have in the backup. Then I do a restore using fdbrestore and using the option --timestamp, how precise would that be for the restore? Would that timestamp parameter in the restore just acting like a filter to get the data point that have been committed before and equal to the timestamp or that is being used to match to a particular version of the backup?
