For foundationdb 6.3.12 Download page says “The macOS installation package is supported on macOS 10.7+”. But whenever I am trying to install it on MacOS 10.15.7.
I am getting the error “This package is incompatible with this version of macOS”
What is the minimum macOS version needed for Foundation DB 6.3.12?
@tuk As explained in the issue Broken Mac OS X 6.3.12 installer · Issue #4789 · apple/foundationdb · GitHub the problem is with the installer trying to unpack library files under different directories like /lib. The fix expected to land in two weeks.
Installer seems to be fixed with the release of 6.3.13.
Its been fixed, but for some reason the link to the windows build of 6.3.13 is now broken on the downloads webpage. Given the testing rigour of fdb, I’m surprised this isn’t handled by a CI somewhere. Github actions work great for this sort of thing. (Both testing a release, and building & uploading it)
And also, would be really helpful to have Release Notes updated, CI would handle this automation as well Release Notes — FoundationDB 6.3
